  1. What is Aadhaar Id or UID
    Aadhaar is a 12 digit individual identification number issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) on behalf of the Government of India. This number will serve as a proof of identity and address, anywhere in India. Any individual, irrespective of age and gender, who is a resident in India and satisfies the verification process laid down by the UIDAI, can enroll for Aadhaar. Each individual needs to enroll only once which is free of cost. Aadhaar number will help you provide access to services like banking, mobile phone connections and other Govt and Non-Govt services in due course.

  3. How can I authenticate Aadhaar Id of a person?
    There are multiple online services provided by MP PARICHAI portal which take input from the user and uniquely verify the resident and his/her Aadhaar ID using the Central Identities Data Repository (CIDR). The modes of authentication are:
    1. Biometric authentication: Require UID and the biometric (finger print or iris scan) of the resident for authentication.
    2. Demographic authentication:Require UID and demographic information (Name/Mobile No. /Email address) of the resident.
    3. OTP authentication:On entry of UID, a one-time password (OTP) is sent to the mobile number registered with UIDAI to identify the resident.
    4. eKYC:UIDAI offers the e-KYC service, which enables a resident having an Aadhaar number to share their demographic information and photograph with a UIDAI partner organization in an online, secure, auditable manner with the residents consent. The consent by the resident can be given via a Biometric authentication or OTP authentication.
  4. What fields can I update through Self Service Update Portal (SSUP)?
    Using the online SSUP portal (https://ssup.uidai.gov.in/web/guest/ssup-home) Name, gender, Date of Birth, address, mobile number and email can be updated.
  5. How can I get my mobile number registered against my Aadhaar?
    You need to visit the nearest enrollment center to update your mobile number. No additional documents are required.
  6. How to access UIDAI Advanced Search?

    The UIDAI advanced search is the demographic statistics for state and Pan-India Aadhaar records. The UIDAI advanced search is accessible for PARICHAI portal users in Search section after login. The UIDAI advanced search URL is:https://portal.uidai.gov.in

    The UIDAI advanced search requires user ID creation for users like District eGovernance Managers etc. In cases where on-boarded departments do not already have the Advanced Search user ID, they need to request same to MPSEDC (being nodal agency) in the request letter template.here

    Please note:-
    1. It may take at a maximum of one month for user ID creation (as a monthly request from MPSEDC to UIDAI).
    2. Till date more than 18000 advanced search user IDs have been generated for Madhya Pradesh, which are mostly requested by District eGov. Managers for MNREGA etc.
